Senior actress Saranya is one of the most talented actresses in South. With her natural acting she became so close to the telugu audience. She debuted in kollywood with Kamal Hassan's Nayagan movie under the direction of Maniratnam. From then there is no looking back for her as an actress. She acted as heroine in few tamil and malayalam movies then she started doing character roles.

Her stint in Dhanush's raghuvaran B.Tech movie brought her into limelight once again. She delivered a tremendous performance as Dhanush's mother in the film and won accolades. She later appeared in few telugu films in character roles. Her last movie in telugu is 'Nani's Gangleader'. With her role as Varalakshmi in the film, she impressed the audience very much.

Everyone thought that Saranya would become busy after that film, but she hasn't signed any film after that. She has tamil projects going on, but has no telugu projects as of now. The directors are well-versed that she is a wonderful actress, but it is unknown why no director is willing to sign a film with Saranya. It is unknown whether she is busy in tamil and has no time to sign films in telugu or if there is some other reason for it.
