Aamir Khan and Genelia D’Souza’s film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ has completed its first week at the box office. Here’s how much it has collected so far.

 Aamir Khan's latest release 'Sitaare Zameen Par', co-starring Genelia D'Souza, has completed a successful first week at the box office, inching close to the ₹90 crore milestone. According to trade portal Sacnilk, the film has netted ₹89.15 crore in india and is expected to cross ₹100 crore over the weekend.


The film added ₹6.75 crore to its total on Wednesday, with global earnings now surpassing ₹130 crore. Compared to Aamir’s past releases, 'Sitaare Zameen Paris already on track to outperform 'Ghajini(₹114 crore) and close in on 'Thugs of Hindostan(₹145 crore). 


Before the film’s release, superstar aamir khan made headlines for turning down a ₹120 crore OTT offer, stating his intent to keep the movie exclusive to theatres for at least a year. “I want people to return to theatres for meaningful stories,” Aamir had said during the press tour.


Despite competition from 'Kuberaa(₹69 crore) and the big-budget comedy 'Housefull 5(₹180 crore), 'Sitaare Zameen Parhas maintained a steady pace, thanks to word-of-mouth and its emotional resonance with audiences.

The film, featuring real people with neurodivergent conditions, weaves in the message of diversity, equity, and inclusion."
