In the last few years, there has been a flood of films related to religious topics in the film industry. Kalki, Brahmastra, Adipurush are some such religious filmswhich were discussed a lot. Prabhas's Adipurush based on Lord Rama was a flop, but now ranbir kapoor is going to be seen in the role of Lord Rama. The first look of his film Ramayana has also come out. It is believed that Ranbir Kapoor star Ramayana can be released around Diwali. On the other hand, SS rajamouli is also thinking of making a film on Mahabharata.

In such a situation, people have a question in their mind that how is a film made on topics related to religion? Where and from whom does one have to take permission for this? Is special permission required even before making a film? Let's know the answers to these questions.

Does permission have to be taken before making a film?

The biggest question is that if a person wants to make a film on a religious subject, then will he have to take permission anywhere before making the film? The answer is - no. Actually, we do not need permission before making a film on religious topics. However, if any private property or religious places are being filmed in the film, then permission is definitely required from the concerned department or person. Apart from this, special permission is also required on copyright related topics. The most important thing for making a film on religious topics is that the filmmaker has to keep in mind that no dialogue or scene should be shown in the film which hurts religious sentiments.

Certificate has to be taken from the Censor Board before release

All the films made in the country are released only after getting the certificate of the Censor Board before release. The Central Board of Film Certification is a statutory body, which works under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. This board also works to give certificates to films according to their content. Apart from this, if the Censor Board has an objection to any scene shown in the film, then the board can also give instructions to censor it i.e. remove it. The Censor Board issues certificates to films in four categories. These categories are – U, U/A, A, S certificate.
