The director's mother was admitted to the hospital
Rahul said, 'My mother was in the ICU. I was suffering pain. But I did not take leave. Shah Rukh Khan was on the set, and I had to shoot with him. I used to stay with my mother in the hospital at night and come to the set to show that everything is normal. It was like a nightmare. But you cannot bring your problems to the set.'
Rahul further said, 'Our industry is a performance-driven industry, where people are afraid to say no. There is always a fear of being thrown out. No one wants to look weak. This is a big problem. It is always a do-or-die situation.'
