Suneel Darshan: 'I am giving my career in your hands', when akshay kumar said a big thing to this filmmaker
Suneel Darshan Exclusive: Filmmaker sunil Darshan, talked about his relationship with Akshay Kumar.
Director-producer sunil Darshan, who worked with priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, and akshay kumar in the film 'Andaaz', had a special conversation with amar Ujala Digital. During this, he openly told many shocking things related to the film industry. Let us tell you what the filmmaker said.
Talking about the industry, sunil said, 'For me, a film is not just a project, it is an emotional commitment. I am a loyal person, and I thought that my artists would be too. But now people are loyal to themselves first, not to anyone else.'
At the same time, he also talked about his bonding with Akshay Kumar. He especially mentioned the incident when akshay kumar completely handed over the reins of his career to Sunil.
Talking about his relationship with akshay kumar, sunil said, 'When he came to me, he said, Sir, I am handing over my career to you. We did seven films together - films like 'Jaanwar', 'Ek Rishta', 'Andaaz'. He probably jokingly told me - I will work in your 700 films. But we both knew that seven is enough.' He said a big thing, 'Most actors go through 'selective amnesia'... they forget things that are not of their interest.'
During the interview, he also talked about Lara Dutta. He said, 'I told Lara, don't do any such role. Your character in 'Andaaz' was very dignified, just like the roles of Nutan ji or waheeda rehman ji. But unfortunately, the films and roles she got later were based on the values of that era. Maybe that's why her career got burnt out a little early.' He also talked about priyanka Chopra.
Talking about Priyanka's journey, he said, 'When she was at the top of her career, some powerful camps tried to pull her down. But she did not give up, fought, and then established herself at a new height.'
