Reacting to the viral video, kk menon commented and clarified that the clip used in the video is part of a promo shot by him for his show 'Special Ops'. The actor said Please note that I have not acted in this advertisement. A video was posted by the congress party on its official instagram page. It begins with kk menon appearing as his character Himmat Singh from 'Special Ops'. In the video, kk says, "Wait, wait yaar. Stop scrolling. If you are watching this reel, then what does it mean?" In the rest of the video, a man appeals to people to raise their voice and participate in the Congress's 'vote chori' campaign. The caption of the video read, "Himmat Singh Kuch Keh Rahe Hain, Jaldi Se Kar Aao. To join the campaign.
