Sandalwood industry's actor Puneeth's debut Appu but his splendid performance, dances, fights in the film proved that he was here to stay on his own merit and not because of his legendary father's name.
Milana was a different film then for Appu, who was mostly known for his mass image and commercial entertainers. The film just had few fight sequences and Puneeth selecting such script was itself the biggest gamble.
Jackie had marked joining hands of two magicians
Puneeth and Suri for the first time. Audience had huge expectations on this
film and crazy combo of Suri - Appu managed to exceed it with a fantastic
commercial entertainer.
Prithvi is Puneeth's movie which had again surprised and impressed with the selection of the script. The film did not have many commercial elements but had a good message for the society. The film is still counted as one of the best of Appu for its impact on the society.
