Thala Ajith who was last seen on silver screens with Siva directorial action thriller Vivegam is all set to return on silver screens in a rural mass avatar, 5 years post his rural mass blockbuster Veeram, again directed by Siva himself. Bankrolled by Satyajyothi films, the movie has lady superstar Nayanthara pairing with Ajith for the fourth time after Billa, Aegan and Arrambam, and also stars a huge star cast including Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiah, Vivek, and Robo Shankar, and has music by D Imman.
Viswasam stars Thala Ajith as Thookudurai and Nayanthara as Niranjana and baby Anikha Surendran of Yennai Arindhaal fame plays their daughter. The Trailer showcases Ajith in dual avatars with a young look in Theni and an old look in salt and pepper look in Mumbai, and the movie presents Thookudurai as someone who's being loved by his whole village and he falls in love with Niranjana played by Nayanthara. Situations force him to move to Mumbai and a war begins between Thookudurai and corporate criminal Jagapathi Babu's character. What happened to Thookudurai's family, and whether Thookudurai was able to eliminate the dangers caused by Jagapathi Babu and protect his daughter Swetha is what Viswasam is all about.

All said, with stunning visuals by Vetri, terrific goosebumps background score by Imman and a racy, massy screenplay by Siva with mass hero elevation moments and goosebumps stuff with Thala Ajith in full form, Viswasam is gonna be that perfect Pongal festival treat for diehard fans of Thala, thumping and racing ahead of contestants, like a boss at box office.
