Taapsee Pannu paid lakhs of rupees to get her wedding dress?

Because her friend had designed all her bridal dresses. taapsee pannu said, 'I have grown up watching Sikh, Gurudwara weddings, so for me the classic idea of getting married was always in red color salwar kameez. This has a dupatta with border on it.

'Shouldn't have worn lehenga'

Taapsee said - This is the only way I know that a bride looks like a bride and I do not find myself wearing a pastel colored lehenga like a wedding, nor have I ever seen myself like a bride in that way. On the matter of not getting clothes stitched from a fashion designer, she further said, 'Also because when you have a big name with you, the possibility of news getting leaked is very high and I wanted to keep it very private. So, my college friend Mani Bhatia designed all my outfits and I also wanted the same. I did not have any lehenga in my entire wedding because I wanted to dance a lot in all the functions.

Taapsee wore grandmother's earrings in the wedding

Speaking further about the wedding function, Taapsee said that for the Haldi function she wore 'a very old punjabi lungi with a kurta, like you saw in DDLJ (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge).' For the sangeet function, the actress chose bellbottom-style pants. So for the wedding, taapsee pannu wore the traditional punjabi Saggi Phul, which is a hair accessory, and also wore a very light necklace and earrings that her grandmother had given to her mother at her wedding.
