Red Sandalwood smuggling in Chittoor forests is created sensation in AP and Tamil Nadu states. Smugglers were involved in killing Forest officers who went for combing to nab smugglers in last month. Angered police staged for Dharna for not having proper weapons to snatch smugglers. Forest police and officers have committed to arrest them. Since last few days police enquiry and search is going on Chittoor forests.
There are rumors spread around in media circles that YSRCP village leaders have played role in Sandalwood Smuggling case. Two of its sarpanches were arrested by Chittoor Task Force police during the investigation. Another police officer SI Venkateswarulu who faced the allegations for his co-operation to the smugglers is sent for Vacancy Reserve. Task Force led by Madhu Babu arrested YSRCP sarpanch Reddeppa Reddy early in the morning. Cadre and his men protest opposite Police Station after the arrest.
Task force was arrested another sarpanch in same mandal who also working for YSRCP. Police were caught 2 crore value Red Sandalwood on last December 18th. Officials ordered to SI Venkateswarulu to lodge case and arrest the culprits. Police believed that Venkateswarulu intentionally delay in doing all these and decided to sent him to VR. On the other hand, allegations on YSRCP are causing troubles to the party. ATM killers in Rajahmundry, Fake notes in Vizag and latest land grabbing issue on Ravindranath Reddy one after other creating troubles to the party. TDP is using these against YSRCP in the coming elections.
