Indian Embassy in ukraine has issued an advisory for all indian citizens and students. It has been said that in this difficult situation, the Embassy advises the indian people to be safe and alert. The Embassy is working round the clock for the indian community.


According to the advisory, the central government is trying to evacuate the indian people through the routes of romania and Hungary. students have been advised to get out safely through Chop Jahoni on the Hungarian border, Uzhordo Porubne Sirat on the Romanian border.


It has been said in the advisory that after the commissioning of these routes, indian citizens traveling through their arrangements will be advised to proceed to the checkpoints. They will have to be in touch with the helpline numbers set up at the respective check posts for facilitating through the border. These numbers will be shared once the control room is set up. In the advisory, students have been asked to contact student contractors for orderly movement.


In the advisory, indian citizens have been asked to carry essential items including passport, cash, and COVID-19 double vaccination certificate. Along with this, it has also been advised to put the indian flag on the traveling vehicle.


Thousands of students of medical and science

India has also set up a 24-hour helpline to help indian students stranded in Ukraine. According to the Ministry of education and Science, there are more than 18,095 students from india in Ukraine. Most of the students are from medical and science because there is no competition at par with India. Haryana, Delhi, and punjab have the highest number of students in Ukraine.
