Despite severe financial restrictions, the ysr congress party administration in Andhra Pradesh, led by chief minister Y S jagan Mohan Reddy, has been providing fee reimbursement to students via the Jagananna vidya Deveena scheme for the past three years. However, the telangana rashtra samithi government, led by chief minister K chandrasekhar Rao, has not released funds to colleges under the fee reimbursement plan for the past two years, despite the fact that the state is cash-rich and revenue-surplus.

In a letter to the chief minister on Monday, state bharatiya janata party president bandi sanjay kumar brought this to light. He said that the kcr government owes several universities Rs 4,000 crore in fee reimbursements for students from low-income families for the past two years. According to Sanjay, around 14 lakh students from the SC, ST, BC, and EBC categories have faced tremendous problems as a result of non-payment of money to their universities for price reimbursement.

He claimed that private college administrations are putting pressure on pupils to pay their fees. "Many students from the poorer parts are forced to sell their blood in order to pay their tuition." "It's unfortunate," he expressed regret. Sanjay further stated that due to fee backlogs, many students who had completed engineering, pharmacy, M Tech, MBA, MCA, post-graduate, and other undergraduate degrees were not receiving their pass certificates. He claims that unless they pay the fees, the college administration will not provide the certificates.
