Amarnath Cloud Burst - death toll rises??

A scene of devastation was seen near the amarnath cave on Friday. Here at around 5.30 pm, the destruction was seen due to sudden cloudburst. 15 people died in this incident, while many people are still missing. The indian Army is taking the injured to safer places and hospitals through helicopters. CMO Ganderbal Dr Afroza Shah said that all the injured are being treated in all the three base hospitals. Better arrangements have been made for the treatment of injured patients. At the same time, a pilgrim said, 'We have been asked to stay in tents here for today as the weather there (Amarnath cave) is not clear.'


At the same time, some batches of pilgrims have been sent to Jammu base camp and Baltal and pahalgam camps in Kashmir. Pilgrims stated, We pray to baba Bholenath for the protection of all the pilgrims. The indian Army is continuously carrying out rescue operations in the area affected by the cloudburst at the amarnath cave site.

Cloud burst after roar

Keshav Kumar, a pilgrim present in the tent near the langar, told that shortly after the roar, a loud sound of water started coming. A huge stream of water started flowing from top to bottom on the left side of the holy cave. In the drain flowing in front of the cave, water started flowing at high speed from many other places. By the time people could understand something, many people got caught in it. He said that the flow of water was so fast that even the tents of the pilgrims were uprooted.
