The head of the chaitanya group, B v Rao, claimed to the media on tuesday that lingamaneni ramesh had defrauded them of more than Rs 300 crore during the previous ten years. Rao claimed that despite rising pressure, Ramesh had issued the chaitanya group 10 checks for the payback of the money but had never actually given them the land.

Rao said that the banks did not honour the checks either. Finally, in 2016, they both signed a contract outlining an exchange of land for the cash given to Ramesh. Rao added that they had filed six charges against Ramesh since he was not upholding the deal.
