Crackdown on gun culture: Govt. cancels 813 gun licenses...

The bhagwant mann government of punjab has taken a big step to crack down on gun culture. Taking major action, the government has cancelled the license of 813 guns. According to the order of the government, people have to follow the rules to keep guns. There will be a complete ban on waving and firing weapons in marriage ceremonies and public or religious places in any kind of program.

The punjab government has cancelled the licenses of 813 guns, including 10 in Gurdaspur, 84 in Faridkot, 87 in ludhiana Rural, 47 in Hoshiarpur, 199 in Pathankot, 48 in Shaheed Bhagat Singh, 235 in SAS Kasba, amritsar Commissionerate Arms licenses of 27 people, 11 from jalandhar commissioner's office and 6 from Kapurthala are included. After coming to power, the bhagwant mann government has so far cancelled more than 2000 arms licenses in Punjab.

After the murder of punjabi singer Siddu Musewala, questions were constantly being raised about the gun culture in Punjab. In view of this, the punjab government is continuously taking action. There are a total of 3 lakh 73 thousand 53 arms licenses in Punjab. On 13 november 2022, the punjab government had announced new rules regarding Arms Regulation. A campaign was launched for 15 days regarding this. In which FIR was also registered against some people.
