As part of the "Monday Challenge," TSRTC depots in the former khammam district have been operating extra routes and increasing bus occupancy to generate more revenue. telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) launched the "Monday Challenge" programme in an effort to increase its financial performance. The company has a goal of generating an additional Rs 20 crore in income each monday through its services offered throughout the State.

According to Banala Venkateshwar Rao, manager of the kothagudem depot, monday is considered the busiest day of the week at rtc bus terminals since more people use the buses on that day than any other. On saturday and Sunday, individuals who live in large cities and towns like hyderabad typically travel back to their villages to spend the weekend. On May 15, monday Challenge was introduced to capitalise on the busiest day of the week. The competition will go on until July 3.

The former khammam district had six depots housing 520 buses. All of the bus terminals in the area reportedly reported higher revenues, according to official reports. On May 22, with a 106 percent occupancy rate, khammam Depot earned Rs 36.68 lakh (114 percent success) as opposed to the aim of Rs 32.11 lakh.

Similar to kothagudem Depot, which had an occupancy rate of 112 percent, earning Rs 16.10 lakh (120 percent accomplishment) as opposed to the aim of Rs 13.40 lakh. In contrast to the aim of Rs. 1.16 crore, income was earned on May 22 across all depots of Rs. 1.29 crore.

Khammam Depot made Rs. 37.32 lakh on May 15, Madhira Rs. 11.19 lakh, Sathupalli Rs. 23.20 lakh, bhadrachalam Rs. 22.29 lakh, kothagudem Rs. 13.40 lakh, and Manugur Depot Rs. 16.20 lakh. The total regional income was Rs. 1.17 crore. It would range from Rs 90 lakh to Rs 1 crore on typical days.
