A man who killed his wife, who had sought divorce from his following his torture, at the Odisha court, was arrested by the police. Ramesh Kumar (24), belongs to Chindhurbang are of Chambalpur district, Bihar. Ramesh Kumar had been working as an auto driver, and had fallen in love with Sanjitha Choudary (18), a resident of the same area.  

 


The couple eloped, and had got married. Within just 4 months of marriage, Sanjitha came back to her parent's house, as she could not bear the torture given by Ramesh. Following this, Sanjitha had filed for divorce at the Odisha family court. However, Ramesh had said that he wanted to continue living with Sanjitha. Following Sanjitha's refusal, Ramesh had planned to kill her at the court premises itself.

Yesterday, Sanjitha and her mother Lalitha Choudary had come to the court, when Ramesh called her in the court, to come with him, and Sanjitha refused. An angered Ramesh, suddenly took the hidden sickle, and chased Sanjitha who ran through the court. Ramesh brutally slashed her with the sickle, and killed her, and she had passed away on the way to hospital due to severe injuries, and Ramesh was arrested.
