hyderabad Metro Rail had a narrow escape from a major mishap on Saturday afternoon after a train running between Miyapur and L.B. Nagar had gone on to a different track. 400 passengers in the train would have been in danger had any train come in the opposite direction. As a result, all Metro services came to a halt for half an hour.
Authorities have realized the mistake in the last minute and stopped all services running on that particular line. They have deboarded all the passengers before Lakdikapul Station before getting rectifying the problem and resuming the services. The Passengers have got anxious as they got down in Lakdikapul.
The reason for the gross error is yet to be traced. The officials have ordered an inquiry into what has happened. They announced that action would be taken on the concerned. hyderabad Metro is majorly automated with one or two loco pilots traveling in the train. This is not the first time that hyderabad Metro is in the news for the wrong reasons. Only last week, a train came to a halt suddenly at Irrum Mazil station recently leaving passengers annoyed and the reason was not disclosed either.
