On seeing this, the family members of the techie have lodged a complaint with the Cyberabad Police. Furthermore the police have stepped into action and Financial crime control department has taken over the case. Meanwhile in their investigation, the police learned that cricket bookies from delhi, Uttar Pradesh and rajasthan are indulging in cricket betting.
Furthermore hyderabad software engineer was a cricket enthusiast and he got acquaintance with a cricket bookie online. Initially the software engineer won money on couple of matches and later he kept losing money and the total piled up to Rs 50 Lakh till date. Apparently when the techie was questioned about the betting details, he revealed that bookies would use apps like Google-Pay, paytm and PhonePe. Also they use a new sim card and connect it to the concern apps but it would last only for one day.
Moreover the bookies speak to the people who are willing to bet for games not more than 10 seconds so as to escape from danger. Perhaps the cyber crime police are trying to find out the exact location of the bookies using technology and appealed to people not to get carried away by bookies who bluff and cheat people and loot money on thousands of Rupees.
