RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on wednesday said, that Muslim citizens belonging to india will face no loss due to the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the citizenship amendment act (CAA). The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader said this during his two-day visit to Assam.

He emphasized that NRC and caa have nothing to do with the communal divide between the Hindus and Muslims and only some politicians are taking caa in a wrong narrative for their political gain.
"The first prime minister of india after Independence has assured that minorities will be taken care of and We will continue that assurance. Muslims will face no loss due to CAA" Bhagawat said after a book launch funcion in Assam. The book was titled 'Citizenship debate over NRC and CAA-Assam and the politics of History'.

The new citizenship law is to provide protection to the minorities who face persecution in the neighbouring countries, the RSS chief underlined. "In situations of calamity we will even reach out ot the majority communities in the neighbouring countries. So if someone from there seeks help from us due to threats and fear, we should help them out," he said.

Speaking on NRC, he asserted that every nation has the right to know who its citizens are.
