Modi govt's deal for farmers - Agreement has been signed??

Today an important agreement of $ 115 million has been signed between the government of india and the World Bank. Under this, this amount has been given by the World bank to the government as a loan. This money will be used to improve agriculture and watershed projects. This agreement has been signed under Rejuvenating Watershed for Agriculture Resilience through Innovative Development (Reward).

What is the reward?
Traditional farming methods have been facing challenges in the last few decades due to climate change. Traditional water sources are also going through a crisis. In such a situation, it is necessary to use new technologies to upgrade, develop and repair watersheds or reservoirs. Also, those techniques will have to be used for agriculture as well. This project has been started to deal with these challenges.

Due to climate change, the agricultural crisis is facing not only india but all the countries of Asia. The challenges of the climate crisis are coming to the fore around the world and work is being done to reduce them. The impact of the climate crisis on agriculture is very visible in India. Soil erosion, drought, depleting groundwater levels are some of the reasons that have affected the agriculture sector badly.

The government is focusing on improving the agriculture sector, Modi government has started many big schemes for the farmers. Farmers' crop insurance, cash transfer to farmers' accounts, Prime Minister's agricultural irrigation schemes are the result of this. PM Modi also emphasizes the goal of doubling the income of farmers in every speech.
