Taking off underwear... Controversy in NEET!!


In Kerala's kollam district, the incident of asking female students to take off their underwear while appearing for the NEET exam has created a sensation. The NEET exam, which was written by 18 lakh people across the country, was conducted with strict restrictions. Admission to MPBS, BDS and medical courses like Siddha, Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy etc. is done on the basis of NEET score. A total of 18 lakh 72 thousand 339 people, including 10 lakh 64 thousand 606 female students, 8 lakh 7 thousand 711 male students, and 12 transgenders, had applied for the NEET examination for admission to medical courses for the academic year 2022-23. 



The examination was held in more than 3 thousand centers in a total of 497 cities across the country. In tamil Nadu alone, one lakh 42 thousand 286 people had applied to write the exam. The examination was held in 59 examination centers in tamil Nadu. 33 examination centers were set up in chennai alone. The exam was held from 2 pm to 5.20 pm. The National Examination Agency had announced that they can come to the examination center from 11.40 am onwards. Accordingly, students started arriving at the examination center from 11 o'clock. 



Some were put in long queues at the entrance of the examination centers and were admitted after a formal examination. The exam was held yesterday with the usual rules. students are not allowed to wear any ornaments. Also, students were prohibited from wearing safety belts, kamals, chains, belts, and full-length shirts. Similarly, those who came in full-sleeved shirts were sent back to change clothes.




In particular, the hair of the students was examined completely from the hair to the quarter with the appropriate equipment. The NEET exam was held amid the Corona pandemic. Therefore candidates were allowed to enter after body temperature check, followed social distance and advised to remove the face mask they were wearing. 



Now a controversy has arisen. An incident has taken place in kollam district of kerala where a student was asked to take off her underwear and then allowed to take the NEET exam. The atrocity took place at the examination center in Ayur. The victim from Suranath filed a complaint at the local police station. 



In it, he mentioned that at the entrance of the examination center, the undergarments were removed and the clothes were also checked. This kind of behavior is disturbing. The victim student said that not only her but all the students who came there were subjected to such a search and the students' underwear was taken and kept in two rooms.


Also, it is said that people in the examination center behaved this way as it is a rule that no metal object should be on the body. The student's complaint has created a huge uproar. The police are actively investigating the matter.
