The district police issued a harsh warning against vendors of fake seeds on friday and cautioned farmers to be cautious of such goods. In a meeting conducted here, Superintendent of police K Srujana gave the go-ahead for the authorities to reduce the threat posed by fake seeds and take harsh action against individuals involved in the trade in fake seeds.
She also gave orders to all field-level police officers to book cases under the PD Act and show zero tolerance for anyone who produce, distribute, or sell fake seeds. She also mentioned that special task force teams have been created in conjunction with agriculture officials in the district, and advised farmers to only purchase seeds that had been certified by agriculture department officials. These crews are entrusted with doing unexpected inspections at seed production facilities and fertiliser stores.

She stated that seven checkpoints are being set up in the villages of Ryalampad, Balgera, Nandinne, Rajoli, Pullur, Irkiched, and Bairapuram to stop the movement of poor quality seed into the district. In order to check fake seeds in hyderabad today, the home minister Mohammed Mahmood ali had a video conference with the DGP, home Secretary, ADG Law and Order, Multi Zonal IGs, and all CPs and SPs.
