Leading international manufacturer and mobility provider Stellantis launched its wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital Hub in hyderabad on Wednesday, providing yet further boost to the city's reputation as a strong automotive environment. Stellantis, the parent company of numerous well-known brands including Jeep, Maserati, Citroen, Peugeot, and Fiat, and with industrial activities in more than 30 countries, has relocated independent operations at the new office after partnering with wipro since 2020.

Telangana, according to IT and industries minister KT Rama Rao, has the most extensive and forward-thinking mobility ecosystem in both india and the world. He made this statement when launching the wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital Hub and highlighting Hyderabad's burgeoning automotive industry. Stellantis and other automotive businesses understand the need of software expertise here as automobiles increasingly become computers on wheels, he said, adding that Telangana's IT industry has undergone extraordinary development, accounting for 44% of all IT employment in india in the 2023 fiscal year.

The estimates for recruiting made by new tech businesses moving to hyderabad were typically smashed in much shorter time, he said, adding that sustainable mobility was the future and that there was a need to harness technology for it. "The talent in this city is abundant. This city draws talented people. The city that can provide you the most room for growth is this one, he remarked. He acknowledged Stellantis for their role in helping to conceptualise the telangana Mobility Valley and announced that the groundbreaking ceremony will take place the following month.

Rama Rao expressed his gratitude to Mamatha Chamarthi, Head of software Business and Product Management at Stellantis, for her assistance in securing the project and expressed his hope for Stellantis' quick growth in Hyderabad. Within the next three years, the company's headcount in hyderabad is anticipated to increase from 770 to over 1,850 professionals. Yves Bonnefont, chief software officer of Stellantis, also took the floor.

Rite software Development Centre Opened

The Development Centre for Rite software, situated in Houston, was later opened by the minister here. The company plans to invest Rs. 100 crore in telangana, resulting in the creation of 1,000 IT jobs over the following three years. The minister spoke with the company on a recent trip to the USA, and the result was the centre.

He said that hyderabad was seeing rapid growth over the past nine years and that IT exports, which were valued at Rs. 56,000 crore in 2014, had already surpassed Rs. 2.41 lakh crore. hyderabad has been dubbed the resource capital of india and has drawn in talent from around the world.


"No city in the country can match the growth rate of hyderabad, not even Bengaluru," he said, adding that there were 3.23 lakh people employed in the IT sector in the former Andhra Pradesh, with the figure now surpassing 9 lakh. Present were Dan Carter, President, UK & Europe, Indu Bendapudi, CFO, and krishna Bendapudi, Founder and CEO of Rite Software.
