Congress-Left comeback in Uttar Dinajpur…
The population of Muslims in Uttar Dinajpur is around 49 percent. Won 7 out of 9 seats in the 2021 assembly elections. bjp had won 2 seats. After the victory, Ghulam Rabbani of Uttar Dinajpur was included in the cabinet and made Minority Welfare Minister.
However, the Trinamool has suffered a setback here too in the panchayat elections. Voting was held for about 2220 seats in Gram panchayat in North Dinajpur, in which Trinamool won only 990 seats. bjp was the second number party here and managed to win 380 seats in Hindu areas.
The congress and the Left alliance have made a comeback here. 290 candidates of both have won. 130 other candidates have won, in which majority of the indian Secular Front. Means here also Trinamool has suffered loss in Muslim areas.
Along with indian Secular Front, Muslim voters have voted fiercely in favor of congress and Left. congress has also won 3 out of 26 Zilla Parishad seats.
Left and congress on second number in Malda
Polling was held for 3186 seats in the Gram panchayat in Malda, in which Trinamool won only about 1400 seats. The congress and the Left alliance have managed to win 800 seats here. The congress and the Left alliance have entered the district panchayat of Malda as well. The alliance got 9 out of 43 seats.
The population of Muslims in Malda is around 51 percent. In the 2021 elections, Trinamool won 9 out of 12 seats in Malda. bjp was successful in winning 3 seats here. Keeping in view the Muslim vote bank in Malda, bjp also gave ticket to 3 Muslims in Zilla Parishad here this time.
