Jharkhand congress leaders held a closed door meeting with DC-DDC at dhanbad Circuit house on Saturday.

During this, ministers Banna Gupta and Alamgir Alam said that the law and order situation in dhanbad is not

good. The general public is living in an atmosphere of fear. There is a need to improve the law and order

situation so that the public's faith in the administration increases. congress district president Santosh Singh,

former state government minister Mannan Mallick and executive district president Rashid Raza Ansari were

present in this meeting.

The Congressmen involved in the meeting said that concern was expressed in the meeting on the law and

order situation in Dhanbad. Both the ministers asked DC varun Ranjan to fix the law and order situation in

Dhanbad. people are living in an atmosphere of fear because of incidents of firing and murder. The matter of

demanding extortion from businessmen and firing on refusal also came up in the meeting. The ministers said

that dhanbad is an industrial city. Here, along with the general public, the administration is also responsible

for the safety of businessmen. In the meeting, the ministers inquired about the ongoing development schemes

in the district. Along with this, instructions were also given to complete the schemes on time.

Development plans were also reviewed

Ministers said that public anger increases due to non-completion of schemes on time and the cost of schemes

also increases. Measures to reopen congress Bhavan (District congress Office) were also discussed. The DC

was told that the congress Bhavan was sealed about 12 years ago citing the court's order. The demand for its

reopening is continuously being made by the district Congress. According to the information, former minister

Mannan Mallick said in the meeting that an application has also been given on behalf of the district Congress.

In this, a request has been made to give the congress building on lease. Taking action on this, a request was

made to send it to the state government.
