The need for Paying Guest (PG) lodging and hostels has increased as hyderabad has developed into a center for young IT professionals, students, and applicants for entrance exams. This flood of people looking for work has changed the living alternatives and prepared the ground for a sharp increase in PG prices in Hyderabad. The city's growing commercial and IT sectors continue to draw a regular stream of professionals looking for rewarding employment prospects, which increases the need for inexpensive and practical PG lodging in IT districts like Gachibowli, madhapur, and Hitec City.

Laxmi Srinivas, a Mumbai-based analyst, claimed that demand has led to a hike in the rent for her PG in madhapur during the last year. "Last year, I paid about Rs. 13,000 in rent for a room with two people; this year, the rent is Rs. 15,000," she stated. students from all over the nation have increased the need for PG lodging near these educational institutions as the city has become a significant center for higher education, hosting multiple universities, engineering schools, and professional institutes.

In the meantime, rates for PGs have increased in communities like Ameerpet, Somajiguda, Masab Tank, and others. According to Shreyansh, a student from Bihar, "The rent for the triple sharing room I currently reside in used to be Rs. 10,000 but this year, it has gone up by almost 25% to 30% and those seeking an air-conditioned single room will have to pay double the amount of the sharing ones." Due to the fact that they not only offer a more affordable alternative to renting a complete flat but also encourage a sense of community among inhabitants, PGs have become a popular housing choice for applicants for entrance exams. "There is a huge demand for paying guest accommodations in the city with many IT professionals or those seeking job opportunities, and students," said Ranjoth Singh, the proprietor of a PG in Kondapur.

The sort of PG one is searching for typically affects the rent. A triple-sharing room would cost roughly Rs. 13,000, a twin-sharing room about Rs. 18,000, and an AC-only single room up to Rs. 30,000, he said. PG lodgings are in great demand because to their close proximity to IT businesses, tech parks, and educational institutions, which enables owners to charge a premium. Rates for lodgings that offer extras like Wi-Fi, cleaning services, and security are sometimes more.
