On sunday morning, the city saw torrential rainfall that resulted in flooded low-lying regions and waterlogged highways. manikonda residents encountered severe waterlogging at Panchavati Junction and anjali Gardens, demonstrating the lack of any action taken to alleviate the issues. The owner of the 'X' account Mana Manikodna, venkat Mamilla of Alkapur Township, released a video of rains engulfing the road next to Mount Litera Zed school at anjali Garden.

"Panchavati circle and anjali Garden are two major junctions in manikonda and they experience severe water-logging after rains," venkat said in a statement to india Herald. The channels for the water to flow into the Neknampur lake and Malkam Cheruvu through Pandan vagu and Balkapur nala have been blocked by nala encroachment and big buildings. Nothing has changed despite several complaints to the ghmc and a CDMA official field visit.

Another local claimed that the problem has persisted since 2019. In the region that was a popular residential neighbourhood for IT experts, roads became impassable. There has been no progress despite assurances from the government that the problem will be resolved. At the same time, districts in Adilabad, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, komaram bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Medak, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalle, Rajanna Sircilla, and siddipet reported mild to moderate rain later in the day.

According to the IMD, a low-pressure region is predicted to develop over the northeastern Bay of bengal during the next 48 hours as a result of cyclonic circulation. Over the coastal states of telangana and Andhra Pradesh, a cyclonic circulation is present. In the next three days, numerous locations across the state are very likely to experience severe to very heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning due to the influence of these systems, for which an orange alert has been issued.
