An appeal has been filed in the supreme court on behalf of O Panneerselvam against the decision of the AIADMK General Committee. An appeal was filed in the supreme court by the former chief minister OPS against the decision of the AIADMK General Committee held in chennai on July 11 last year, invalidating the decisions of the General Committee and the selection of the General Secretary. After hearing the case, the supreme court ordered that the General assembly held on July 11 will go ahead and appeal the decisions to the High Court. Accordingly, 4 persons, including Manoj Pandian and Vaithilingam, Opanneerselvam and his supporters appealed to the madras high court against the resolutions passed in the General Assembly. A bench consisting of high court Judges R. mahadevan and Mohammad Sabiq heard the case and the General assembly meeting was held based on the order of the supreme Court. As the supreme court ruled that the General assembly would go ahead, it ordered that the resolutions passed in it cannot be banned. The madras high court dismissed the appeals and ordered that the decision to remove OPS and others from the party cannot be stayed.


An appeal has been filed on behalf of O Panneerselvam in the supreme court against this order of the madras High Court. While the madras high court dismissed the appeal filed by OPS and others against the resolutions of the General assembly, OPS has appealed against it in the supreme Court.
