Punjab bjp Chief sunil Jakhar has raised questions on the timing of the arrest of congress leader Sukhpal
Singh Khaira. Attacking the ruling aam aadmi party (AAP), he said that the timing of Khehra’s arrest says a
lot. When the farmers of the state are agitating, the government is doing this to divert attention. He also said
that it has become a trend to make serious allegations against people due to political hatred. False cases are
being filed against people.
Sunil Khehra has demanded an investigation by the Judicial Commission into the matter and cognizance
should be taken by the supreme Court. congress has also accused the bhagwant mann government of
misusing power.
Government is not working with clear intentions
Speaking to news agency ANI, sunil Jakhar said, A few days ago, the governor of punjab asked for
information regarding the loan of Rs 50 thousand crores, then to divert attention from him, a case was
registered against Manpreet Badal and now when the farmers are agitating. and they are sitting on the railway
track, Sukhpal Khehra has been arrested. One thing becomes clear from this that the government is not
working with clear intentions. Everyone wants milk to be milk and water to be water. One should not make
such serious allegations because of political grudges and personal grudges, this has become a trend in politics,
especially in Punjab.
Jakhar demanded to form a judicial commission
Jakhar further said, “Thousands of false cases were made in the Akali government, then in the Captain
Amarinder Singh government, four and a half thousand false cases were dismissed by forming a judicial
commission. There is no answer for those who had to face torture. Form a judicial commission and get an
investigation done on the arrest of Sukhbir and Manpreet and the arrest of others. So that people have
confidence that the judicial process is working and not due to political hatred or discrimination.
