Bharatiya Janata Party’s haryana unit leader Birendra Singh said on monday that he would leave the party if the
BJP-JJP alliance continues. He accused the Jannayak Janata party (JJP) of indulging in large-scale corruption in
the state. Addressing a rally in his stronghold Jind, he said that if bjp thinks that JJP can take alliance votes in
next year’s elections, then they are wrong. Singh quipped, JJP is not going to get even his votes. He has
emphasized in recent months that the bjp should fight the 2024 lok sabha and assembly elections on its own.
In the year 2019, after bjp was away from majority in the assembly elections, the party led by ajay Singh
Chautala had supported it. However, in recent weeks, both JJP and bjp have said that they are preparing to
contest all 10 lok sabha and 90 assembly seats. Both parties have not made any commitment on continuing
relations.
The bjp leader said, If the BJP-JJP alliance continues in haryana, Birendra Singh will no longer be there, this
much is clear. Accusing JJP of indulging in corruption on a large scale, the former Union minister said, A big
leader of JJP has betrayed the people in a bigger way than any other leader of Haryana.
He was addressing a rally named Meri Awaaz Suno which was organized by Singh's supporters as a non-
political event. Regarding his previous association with the congress, he said, I was in that party for 42 years
and worked with dedication. congress gave me full respect and I got the support and trust of rajiv gandhi and
Sonia Gandhi.
