
Chief minister Stalin has announced financial assistance to the families of those who died in the accident at a firecracker shop in mayiladuthurai district. There is a country explosives manufacturing godown owned by Ramadas, a resident of the area, on Thillaiyadi Kaliamman Koil Street near Poraiyar in mayiladuthurai district. With just a month left for Diwali, workers from the area are engaged in making homemade explosives.
In this situation, while the workers were engaged in the work of making firecrackers as usual, a sudden fire broke out and the explosives that had been prepared exploded with a loud noise and caused an accident. Four workers were injured and died on the spot. Also, many people were injured. They were rescued and admitted to hospital. They are receiving intensive care there. In this situation, chief minister Stalin has expressed his condolences to the families of those who died in the firecracker shop accident in mayiladuthurai district and announced financial assistance.
In the condolence message issued by chief minister Stalin, Manikam of Kitangal village, Madan, Mahesh and Raghavan of mayiladuthurai were killed in an accident today (4-10-2023) in the afternoon (4-10-2023) while parceling explosives in a privately-owned firecracker shop operating in Thillaiyadi village, Porayar police station, mayiladuthurai district. It is said that he was deeply saddened to hear the sad news that four persons died on the spot. Moreover, chief minister Stalin has also ordered to give special treatment to 4 persons who were injured in the accident and have been admitted to mayiladuthurai Government Hospital.
Expressing my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and their relatives, chief minister Stalin has also ordered to give Rs.3 lakh each from the Chief Minister's General Relief Fund to the families of the deceased.
