Pandit Dhirendra krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham held his court in Pathankot on 22 October. During this
time he had given a statement regarding Christianity. Many Christian groups had objected to this. Now
Dhirendra Shastri refused to take back his statement and said that I have come to know that people have faced
problems due to the tour. They have objection as to why I used these words, so if you have any problem then
stop interrupting innocent Hindus. Pandit Dhirendra krishna Shastri further said that I have no personal enmity
with you. He said that Pathankot police had advised him not to proceed with his journey. Because this could
create a law and order situation. Dhirendra Shastri said that he appeals to the punjab government to enact an anti-
conversion law in the state. So that innocent people cannot be exploited.
What else did Dhirendra Shastri say?
Dhirendra krishna Shastri said that india is for everyone. He wanted to go to Pandhori Dham Gaushala and other
places in Pathankot, but the police told him that the atmosphere was not right. It would not be appropriate for
you to go. Dhirendra Shastri said that punjab police told him that his visit could create problems. He will
continue to come to Punjab.
What does the Christian Committee say about the matter?
Regarding this matter, Jatinder Gaurav of Global Christian Action Committee said that Pandit Dhirendra Krishna
Shastri had used objectionable words. He has demanded the police to register a case against Dhirendra Shastri.
Jatinder Gaurav said that baba wants to come from outside and disturb the peace of Punjab. Wherever he goes in
Punjab he targets Christianity. He said that the police have told us that appropriate legal action will be taken, but
