Of these eight assembly seats, in the 2018 elections, three were held by congress MLAs, while the

remaining five were held by BJP. Whereas, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Pragya Singh Thakur was the

candidate from bjp and former chief minister Digvijay Singh was in the fray from Congress. In this

election, Pragya Singh Thakur got 8 lakh 66 thousand 482 votes, while Digvijay Singh got 5 lakh 1 thousand

600 votes. In this way, Pragya Singh Thakur had won this election by 3 lakh 64 thousand 822 votes. Despite

losing the elections, former cm Digvijay Singh was increasingly active in madhya pradesh, while even

during the assembly elections, mp Pragya Singh Thakur had kept distance from bhopal parliamentary

constituency.
