Samajwadi party (SP) President akhilesh yadav claimed on wednesday that a wave of change is visible in
bharatiya janata party (BJP) ruled Madhya Pradesh. He also criticized the ruling party for making false
promises to voters to retain power. Attacking his ally congress in the opposition alliance India, Akhilesh Yadav
said that when congress led the government at the Centre, it did not implement the recommendations of the
Mandal Commission. Along with this he said that a wave of change is going on in madhya pradesh and SP
candidates are going to win the elections by a record margin.
Wounds of congress scratched
The former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh was addressing an election rally on the last day of campaigning for
the assembly elections to be held on november 17 to garner support for his party's candidate from Niwari, Meira
Yadav. After failing to reach a pre-poll pact with the congress, the largest constituent of the opposition alliance
'Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance (India Alliance), the SP has fielded 71 candidates in Madhya
Pradesh, which has a 230-member assembly. He said, “Congress and bjp formed governments in Madhya

akhilesh yadav was referring to the fall of the Kamal Nath-led congress government after the rebellion of a
section of party MLAs in march 2020, which led to the return of the bjp to power in the state after 15 months.
While scratching this old wound of congress, Akhilesh also attacked BJP. He targeted the ruling bjp for not
fulfilling its promises. The SP leader questioned, “BJP promised to provide jobs to the youth, farmers were told
that their income would double and they would get fair price for their produce.
