AP Civil Supplies minister Karumuri nageswara rao said that the farmers of krishna and NDR districts have suffered a lot due to Cyclone Michoung. The minister revealed that arrangements are being made to import grain in trucks on a war footing basis at the mills. Cyclone Michoung lashed coastal Andhra Pradesh. The impact of the typhoon was especially felt on the two Godavari districts, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, nellore and chittoor districts. Lakhs of acres of crops were inundated. In some areas, property and lives were lost. In this context, ap minister Karumuri nageswara rao responded. chief minister YS jagan has promised to ensure that the farmers will not face any problem. Karumuri nageswara rao said that cm jagan is monitoring every issue and will help the affected farmers in every way.

                                    

Karumuri nageswara rao said that the farmers of krishna and NDR districts have suffered a lot due to Cyclone Michoung, and since there are not many dryer mills in this area, the grain is being shifted to Palnadu, Bapatla, eluru and west godavari districts. Karumuri said that cm jagan has suggested to take steps to get insurance and input subsidy. The minister revealed that the Agriculture Department has taken steps to provide subsidy to the farmers. Arrangements are being made to import grain in trucks at the mills on war footing. Karumuri said that they have taken 6 lakh 70 thousand metric tons of grain till now.. 1070 crores have been paid for 1300 crore rupees. Besides, nageswara rao revealed that 1,10,000 tonnes of grain has been taken offline. The minister assured that the farmers will not be burdened with the transportation cost of the grain to be transported to other districts.
