The bjp government is making tall claims on the Uniform Civil Code. It is being said that the Uniform Civil Code Act is being implemented in public interest. The public will benefit from the Uniform Civil Code. On the other hand, protests have started against the Uniform Civil Code. The assembly was surrounded by Muslim organizations on Monday.
Perhaps Muslim organizations also got the support of lawyers, different classes and women in gheraoing the assembly against UCC. Let us tell you that the special session of the assembly has started from Monday. On the first day of the session, Muslim organizations witnessed strong opposition to the Uniform Civil Code. supreme court lawyer Mahmood Pracha also participated in the protest. The protesters also raised slogans against the bjp government. Muslim organizations also described the Uniform Civil Code as fatal for the tribes of Uttarakhand. The protesters said that by bringing law on UCC, the government will snatch the lands of the people of Uttarakhand.
Moreover supreme court lawyer Mahmood Pracha told that he has come to dehradun to join the protest. He also made serious allegations against the bjp government of Uttarakhand. Mahmood Pracha said that the government is conspiring to snatch the lands of poor Muslims and tribals in the name of Uniform Civil Code. Former Bar Council President Razia Baig, who participated in the protest organized against the Uniform Civil Code, also attacked the government. Razia Baig said that the government which talks about women's rights should tell what it has given to Muslim women. He said that the government is bringing such laws only to mislead Muslim women. Uniform Civil Code is not a law of public interest but a law to snatch away the rights of the people. The government's talk about the rights of Muslim women is meaningless.
