The election commission of india (ECI) has announced the schedule for lok sabha elections 2024 on Saturday. lok sabha elections will be held in 7 phases, the first phase will be held on april 19 and counting of votes will be held on june 4.

Like 2019, the 2024 lok sabha elections are expected to be held in seven phases. While the assembly elections in Odisha, andhra pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and sikkim have already been confirmed, there have been speculations about holding assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

Elections may be held here later for security reasons.
