Social media posts purporting to be from andhra pradesh state president of the bharatiya janata party (BJP) Daggubati Purandeswari's resignation have gone viral. This occurred a few days after the party nominated her from Rajahmundry, andhra pradesh, for the impending 2024 lok sabha elections. On social media, those making this allegation have posted two distinct images.

One bears a telugu letter announcing Purandeswari's resignation, while the other displays a snapshot of a post on X declaring the same. We next searched her X account to see if we could locate the popular post that was seen in the screenshot, but we were unable to do so.

 We searched for reputable news articles on the politician's resignation using pertinent keywords in telugu and English, but we were unable to uncover any. The X account of the bjp andhra pradesh confirmed that the letter was "fake" and that the resignation of purandeswari is "fake news."In the unlikely event that purandeswari had really shared and subsequently removed the message, we next looked via internet archiving services to see if the viral post had been stored.
 
On neither of the websites we looked at, to which there are connections, did we discover this to be the case, though. It was verified by searching for her X account on the social media analytics platform Social Blade that she hadn't removed any postings since march 13.
