Tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the Chennai Book Fair, one of India’s largest and most prominent literary events, reaffirming the state government’s strong commitment to promoting reading culture, knowledge, and intellectual growth.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the chief minister described the book fair as a celebration of ideas and learning. He praised authors, publishers, and organisers for sustaining the tradition of making knowledge accessible to people from all walks of life.
Stalin also spoke about the importance of nurturing reading habits among children and youth.
