The concept of building houses for the poor has been preferred throughout the country since the time of Indiramma. Any government, any party, gives priority to these to attract the poor. These will also be included in the election pledge. If you look at it like this, tdp which came to power in ap after division, and ycp which took power in 2019, both promised to give houses to the poor. Chandrababu, who first assumed power in 2014, said that he would give houses to the poor.

However, he did not give it himself. The TIDCO houses implemented by the central government proposed only 25 lakh houses and it was sanctioned by the former Union minister Venkaiah Naidu. Out of 25 lakhs, only 4 lakhs have been sanctioned. 75 thousand houses were given across the state. An argument was heard that Janmabhoomi Committees took bribes on a large scale to give these. As a result, this issue was blown out of proportion.

Also, during Chandrababu's reign, there was no such situation of giving places on his own. This is the situation of common people. He also said that houses will be given to employees, especially those who have come to ap from Hyderabad. But, he didn't. Even though they promised to give houses to journalists at the rate of Rs.25 thousand, that too did not materialize. If we take the matter of jagan, ss part of Navaratna, houses for all the poor scheme, jagan gave one cent to the poor in urban areas and two cents to those in rural areas.

Moreover, no bribes were allowed anywhere in these. All precautions were taken. A total of 31 lakh people were selected and given patta to all. They are currently under construction. In some places, home invasions took place. However, they said that they would give the jagan government all the credit. In some places, even after making applications online, they did not give it. Employees also faced a similar situation. Overall, it is noteworthy that in the history of the state, the number of houses given to the poor was comparatively low.
