BJP's raja Iqbal Singh became the new mayor of delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD). In his first reaction after being elected mayor, he thanked the top leadership of the party. He announced to end user charges.

The new mayor of delhi Municipal Corporation raja Iqbal Singh, while talking to the media, said, I thank the top leadership of the party, prime minister Narendra Modi, party president JP Nadda, Union home minister amit shah, delhi bjp President Virendra Sachdeva and all the corporation councilors, MLAs, MPs. Today I got a chance to serve. In the last two and a half years, under the leadership of aam aadmi party (AAP), we will try to improve the condition in the corporation within three months and show it to the public.

Priorities of the Mayor?

He said, cleanliness in delhi, removing the mountain of garbage, solving the problem of waterlogging before the upcoming monsoon will be the priority. By working with the delhi government in these areas, we will try to ensure that the public does not face any kind of problem. The condition of parks has been bad for the last two and a half years, our effort will be to make them green. We will take delhi towards greenery. We will end corruption inside the corporation.

Targeted the former aam aadmi party government

Targeting the former aam aadmi party government, he said, 'AAP' has cheated the people of delhi in connivance with senior officials. They have shown their double character. We will abolish the user charge. The level of education inside the corporation has decreased, we will motivate the teachers and give scholarship and dress money to the children on time, so that the children can study well.

With raja Iqbal becoming the mayor, now the 'triple engine' government of bjp has come to power in the national capital Delhi. There is already a bjp government in the Center and the Assembly. Now the bjp has also captured the mayor's seat. bjp had won all the seven seats in delhi in the 2024 lok sabha elections. In the assembly elections held in february this year, it also secured an absolute majority and formed the government under the leadership of chief minister Rekha Gupta.
