Infiltrated india 18-19 years ago
During interrogation, it was also revealed that many of the arrested Bangladeshi citizens had entered india from bangladesh 18-19 years ago. They told that due to financial crisis and lack of employment, they had crossed the border in the dark of night and came to India. During that time, they did not encounter any Border Security Force officials. After crossing the border, these people first stayed in Cooch Behar area of West Bengal, and then reached delhi by train. After some time, they went to the rural areas of Haryana, where they started working as laborers in brick kilns. Due to these brick kilns being located in remote villages, they were living there for a long time without being noticed by anyone.
Living there for years without any investigation
The Bangladeshi citizens said that, in all these years, no government agency did any background check on them. At the same time, the owners of the brick kilns hired them without documents to get cheap labour. Gradually, these people settled there and started living there.
