Pongal: Auspicious muhurtham to perform pooja!!!

Our hearts are full of joy when it comes to festive days. Compared to urban areas, Thai pongal is celebrated like a festival in rural areas. This year Thai pongal falls on 15.1.2023 Sunday. We celebrate this day to thank Lord Suryadev. If there is no sun, not even a single life can live on this planet. This year's Thai pongal is considered to be a special pongal as it falls on sunday, the auspicious day of the sun Lord who gives us all light and sustenance.

What is the best time to have pongal at home on this year's Taitri day, let's know some spiritual information about how to worship and celebrate this Taitri day in a very simple way through this post.

Pongal is a festival celebrated for Lord Suryadev. Therefore, when the Lord Suryadev rises, it is very special to offer pongal and worship with the family saying Pongalo Pongal. That means tomorrow sunday morning work should start at 5.00 am to prepare Pongal. If that is the case, women at home should wake up at 4.00 am and take a bath. If you are able to do it on the terrace or in the yard outside the house, put a kolam, lay bricks and cover it with firewood and keep the pongal in the earthen pan or brass pot whatever pot you have in your house.

It takes about an hour to prepare Pongal. When the sun rises at 6.00 in the morning, the prepared pongal should be offered to surya Bhagavan. Pray to Lord Suryadev that farmers and agriculture will make every living being live well on this earth. In this place where pongal can be held, it is customary to prepare a bunch of turmeric, vegetables, sugarcane, all these and complete the worship by showing camphor aarti.

Early morning preparation of pongal between 5:00 am and 6:00 am is the right time to do and worship Lord Suryadev. But those who are not able to perform worship at this time can perform pongal worship whenever you before 12.00 noon.
