M Sakthivel is the director of the slasher thriller Miral. In the opening scene, Rama (Vani Bhojan) is having a disturbing nightmare in which someone is attempting to kill her family. We gradually come to see that something is causing the tranquilly in their lives to be disturbed; at this point, Rama and her husband Hari (Bharath Srinivasan) decide to journey all the way to the temple in the former's homeland. hari and his family opt to leave immediately after the rites because of job commitments.
A masked attacker threatens to hurt the family while wrecking their automobile as they make their way home. The main plot of the narrative is how and why Hari's family is targeted in this awful deed. Miral got off to a strong start with a few memorable moments. But the main impressions of this film shifted as the plot thickened and major revelations were made in the second half. If the director had stayed true to the slasher genre and left out the emotional elements near the end, the film would have been much better.
Towards, the climax the twist was revealed that she was raped by her husband's friend and now this movie is streaming on Aha platform. However, few portals and websites are sharing the climax twist rape video and they are spreading virally due to the heading. As vani never acted in such scenes, it was more shocking to everyone and instead of streaming the movie, the last part alone was being shared on social media sites as well.
