The indian army is planning for a new wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital combat uniform which will be in practice from the coming year. The army will have new combat uniforms for men and officers in the coming year. The new uniform will be a regular and comfortable one which is different from the olives that are in use now. The new print in the combat uniform will have many colors mixed including olive and also some earthen colors. The uniform will be finalized by the army headquarters and will be revealed at the army day Parade which is to be held on 15th january 2022 in Delhi.
                                The standard uniform for combat is formally called Camouflages or Battle Dress Uniforms(BDU). The Uniforms are either in monochrome shades like brown or green which is to be blended with the background and with a pattern like indian Navy and Armed police forces. The New Uniform was shortlisted only after a study which showed the uniforms worn by major armies in the world and will be catered to both officers and men by next year.
It is also in process of changing the regular olive color uniform. However, the final decision is awaiting. The aim of this change is to have different colored pants and shirts. The uniform should be lighter but sturdy which will be comfortable in summer and winter also. There will be no tucking of shirts, unlike the current one. It is designed to keep the comfort of the soldier in mind.
