Two Indian-Americans have been named to Fortune's annual '40 Under 40' list, which includes founders, executives, investors, and activists who will shape business in 2022. Ankit Gupta, founder and CEO of Bicycle health, and Kanav Kariya, president of Jump Crypto, are among the trailblazers and influencers who are creating and capturing opportunity while also empowering others.
"Honored to be included on Fortune's 40 Under 40 list this year! Especially amongst all the incredible trailblazers shaping the healthcare industry. A well-deserved recognition of our incredible team at BicycleHealth and their dedication to the care of patients with OUD (Opioid Use Disorder)," Gupta tweeted.
Ankit Gupta, 35, has been featured in the area of health and Bioscience. Gupta's Bicycle health began with a single clinic in Redwood City, California, in 2017, and debuted its virtual care platform in 2020, providing specialised telemedicine treatments for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). It aims to improve persons with opioid use disorder's access to high-quality, integrated medical and behavioural healthcare. Since then, the company has grown to 29 states, treated 20,000 patients, and raised $83 million in venture capital. Gupta formerly served as co-founder and Chief technology Officer of Pulse News.
Gupta received his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from the indian Institute of technology, Bombay, and his master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from Stanford University, where he specialised in machine learning. When he has free time, he volunteers for his non-profit organisation, Docs and Hackers, which attempts to bridge the technological and healthcare fields. Kariya, who is included in the Finance and Crypto category, began her career as an intern at Jump Trading Group, a crypto start-up incubator.
