Amidst questions about being active in punjab politics and congress, Navjot Singh Sidhu has now given a big statement. Clarifying his position, Navjot Singh Sidhu has said, "I came into politics to bring about change, not to do any business."

In fact, Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has been creating trouble for the congress in punjab from time to time, seems to be quite angry with the party. He says, "In the last 30 years, all the governments that came to punjab were run by the mafia, but I still stand by my principles."

'They accuse me of speaking loudly'                    

Navjot Singh Sidhu further said, "If there is any allegation against me in the last 15 years of politics, then tell me. I did not let my conscience and character fall. No policy was brought for change in punjab, nor was any program announced. For many years, governments have been running punjab by taking loans. On the contrary, they accuse me of speaking loudly."

Earlier, congress had released a list of star campaigners for the ludhiana West assembly by-election, which included big faces of punjab congress, but Navjot Singh Sidhu's name was not there. Navjot Sidhu started staying away from party programs since the punjab assembly elections.

Joined congress in 2017

Navjot Singh Sidhu joined congress in 2017 after resigning from bjp in 2016. The party also made him the state president of punjab, but Sidhu resigned from the post after two months. However, Navjot Singh Sidhu still has pictures with priyanka gandhi and rahul gandhi on his official X account and has also met them on several occasions, but till now his attitude is confusing.
