Chengalpattu:
Tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. stalin today (02.02.2026) inaugurated the newly renovated Environmental Park located within the Siruseri SIPCOT Information technology Park in Chengalpattu district.

The eco park, which has been redeveloped as part of the state government’s efforts to promote environmental sustainability and green infrastructure, is aimed at providing a natural, eco-friendly space amid the rapidly growing technology hub. The park has been redesigned to enhance greenery, improve ecological balance, and offer a refreshing environment for employees working in the Siruseri SIPCOT campus as well as visitors.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister highlighted the importance of integrating environmental conservation with industrial and technological development. He emphasized that such initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to sustainable growth and improving the quality of life in urban and semi-urban regions.

The Siruseri SIPCOT IT Park is one of Asia’s largest IT hubs, housing several major technology companies. The establishment of the environmental park within the campus is expected to contribute positively to biodiversity, reduce urban heat, and promote awareness about environmental protection.

Senior government officials, SIPCOT representatives, and other dignitaries were present during the inauguration ceremony.
