Police find a Human Skull from the backwaters and IPS Sathyajith is assigned to find the victim and also the killer in this case. At the same time, a journalist Ms.Medha comes to a new house with her daughter and she faces some abnormal things inside her home. She considers those paranormal activities are out of the box.

At one stage, both these stories intersect and what happens next forms the rest of the 'Cold Case' story. Cinematographer Tanu Balak has made a decent debut with his direction skills as he has written two separate parallel tracks and made them intersect at a point in time and then proceed the narration in the thrilling way possible.

On the positive side, Cold case's movie doesn't have unwanted action or romance subplots and the entire movie travels on a thriller path. The writing also blends the current pandemic situation and it should be appreciated. But the movie goes out of the radar in the second half or should we say the last 45 minutes?

Everything falls flat and even the climax seems to be rushed and that leaves us totally unsatisfied. We need to tell that prithviraj has underplayed in his character and Aditi Balan just done justice to her role. But her lip synchronization issues is a major problem. This is a pretty decent one-time watch, but in case it would disappoint if you have expected a lot more after the promotions and trailers.
